
The Mercedes-Benz C-Class facelift will get new generation BS-VI compliant petrol and diesel engines.
Mercedes-Benz C-Class facelift was unveiled at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show and it came with some interesting updates. The luxury sedan is now ready to make its India debut on September 2018. It will not only come sporting a fresh revised design, but new all-LED headlamps and new LED taillights as well. In terms of technology as well, there will be several new addition.

In terms of the feature updates, upcoming 2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class facelift will get a large 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch high resolution touchscreen COMAND infotainment system. Steering wheel, dual-touchpad control system below the centre console has been updated as well. The dual touchpad control system is borrowed from the E-Class and S-Class facelift.

A very interesting fact about this luxury sedan is going to be the new generation petrol and diesel engines. Both the engines will be compliant to the upcoming BS-VI emission norms that will kick in from April 2020. The entry level model in C-Class lineup will be the C200 that will get a smaller 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine in place of the current model’s 2.0-litre motor. Interestingly, this smaller engine will generate same 182 bhp of peak power. However, torque output will be 280 Nm, 20 Nm down compared to the current engine.
