Tata Tiago NRG will challenge Ford Freestyle and Maruti Suzuki Celerio X.
Tata Tiago NRG has been launched in India at a starting price tag of Rs 5.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Available in petrol and diesel options, the latter one comes priced at Rs 6.31 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Therefore it is priced around Rs 50,000 premium over the standard Tiago XZ.
The Tata Tiago hatchback based crossover comes with an eye-catchy styling that grabs attention easily. However, the changes come in form of cosmetic updates only, while mechanically it remains same as the regular Tiago. NRG in the nomenclature signifies ‘energy’, which is something the automaker used to describe the ruggedness of this crossover.
